Website Makeover: Consejo de Latinos Unidos The Consejo de Latinos Unidos, a national nonprofit organization which educates and assists Latinos and others in the areas of health care, immigration, education, and police protection, is supported almost exclusively by non-profit organizations. Consejo's original site was developed completely in images, which limited its user-ability due to slow download speed. Additionally, it was not developed to grow as new news was made available about their programs and progress. They contacted Top Speed Media to see how we could assist in improving the site. We proposed that we redevelop the site using HTML, ASP, and Java and of course we added a few enhancements to improve the overall impression and effectiveness. Our work with Consejo de Latinos is ongoing with their continued satisfaction with our services. |

Content Management System: PeruHogares.com The real estate industry in Peru is undergoing rapid modernization, and Top Speed Media has taken an active role in providing the technology the industry needs. This is a developing project dynamically growing as we evaluate the changing needs of the industry. We were asked to develop an online multiple listing system for their wide range of properties. Peru Hogares wanted to have complete control over the inventory and this was made available to them via a secure administration system. Another important feature was the uploading of photos via a user interface for independent agents. Agencies can take advantage of the shared MLS system by having independent websites that automatically publish the available inventory of properties on their respective websites. The payment system was developed using SSL (secure socket layers) to ensure the safety of their clients' details. This website is currently being translated into four other languages, including English, to reach the global real estate market. |

Website Makeover, Content Management, and Promotion: The Fairness Foundation The Fairness Foundation was founded in 1998 to assist low income children in getting access to better education and to assist the uninsured in getting good health care. We have completed a number of projects for them, including their Hospital Victims Project. After renovating their process for publishing data on hospitals in the United States, we were able to quickly aquire the data on the hospitals and develop a website for them with financial information on over 8,000 hospitals. The goal of this project was to educate the consumer about hospital pricing issues, and to offer assistance to those who had been overcharged. Search Engine Optimization techniques were implemented in the design of the website to be modified by the available database leading to dynamic listings on Google, Yahoo, and Microsofts' new "Live Search" system. Real results searching for "hospital prices":
In addition, for immediate targeted results, we developed a pay per
click program resulting in controlled targeting of specific
hospitals that were known to charge the uninsured more than three
times cost to put additional pressure on those hospitals to change
their tactics. |
